USDOT Reading System
TranTechCom’s DOT reader captures multiple images per vehicle with varying flash, shutter and gain settings to ensure a high quality images regardless of weather or lighting conditions. The system then decodes and locates USDOT numbers displayed on the lateral surface of commercial vehicles.
The system provides effective USDOT number capture day and night. Utilizing high speed processing, high resolution cameras, custom lighting, and fast algorithms, the system can return USDOT reads in less than 5 seconds for trucks traveling at 70-80 mph.
